Who we are

Information you give us

• Creating an account — your name, email address and a password. We send a one-time code to your email to confirm the address belongs to you.
• Placing an order or requesting a quotation — your delivery address, contact person, phone number, and GSTIN where you provide one.
• Enquiry forms — the bulk-quotation form and the PackGPT callback request collect your name and phone number, and optionally your company and a message. We also record which page you submitted from, so the team knows the context of your enquiry.
• Uploaded files — if you send us artwork for printed tape, we store that file to prepare your quotation.

Information created as you use the site

• Your quotations and orders, including the products, quantities and prices involved.
• PackGPT conversations — the questions you ask and the answers given.
• Records of emails we send you, so we can tell whether a confirmation actually reached you.
• Your approximate location, at city level only, if you tell PackGPT which city you are in. We use this to look up local weather, because humidity and rain genuinely change packing advice. We do not collect precise location and we do not track your device.

PackGPT and AI processing

PackGPT answers your questions using third-party AI services — currently OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. To generate an answer, the text of your question and relevant extracts from our own knowledge base are sent to one of those providers. Do not put anything confidential into the chat that you would not want processed by a third party.

We review conversations internally to find gaps in our knowledge base and improve the answers. You can use PackGPT without an account; in that case the conversation is tied to a random session identifier stored in your browser, not to you personally.

Why we hold this information

• To quote, confirm and deliver your orders, and to produce the tax documents that go with them.
• To reply when you ask us something.
• To keep the accounting and GST records the law requires us to keep.
• To improve the advice the site and PackGPT give.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We hold your information while our business relationship is active, and for as long as the law requires us to — GST and accounting records are kept for their statutory periods. Cold enquiries and old PackGPT conversations are cleared out from time to time.

Your choices

You can see and change your profile and saved addresses when signed in. For a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion, email sales@packkaro.com.

On deletion, we will be straight with you: there is no self-serve delete button yet. Email us and we will remove your account and personal details by hand, keeping only what tax law obliges us to retain.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

• Neon — database hosting.
• Vercel — website and application hosting.
• Resend — sending email.
• Amazon Web Services (S3) — storing files you upload.
• OpenAI, Anthropic and Google — generating PackGPT answers.
• Open-Meteo — weather lookups. We send a city, nothing about you.

To deliver, we share your name, delivery address and phone number with the transport carrier for your order.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one cookie. It keeps you signed in, it cannot be read by JavaScript, and it is only sent to our own login endpoints. We set no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party cookies of any kind — there is no tracking software on this site.

We also keep three things in your own browser’s storage:

• your session token, which is discarded when you close the tab;
• your cart, so it survives a refresh before you sign in;
• a random PackGPT session id, so a guest conversation holds together.

Clearing your browser data removes all three.

Payments

We do not take payments on this website. There is no card form and no payment gateway — we never see or store card or bank details. Payment is arranged directly with our team.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Traffic to the site is encrypted. Access to customer records is limited to our own staff accounts. We cannot promise that any system is impossible to breach, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise.

Children

This is a business supply platform and is not intended for children.
